Warm fresh air from the design air unit
That ventilation systems not necessarily have to look like dull machinery do prove the new air units made by Oliver Solcher of the Ingenieurbüro für Wärmetechnik, Berlin, Germany. The new devellopment is called Pulpo and connects modern technics with excellent design.
Pulpo is an air unit made of translucent polypropylene. This hightech design unit is available in different colors and can even be lighted. It is mounted free hanging under the ceiling.
It brings in the fresh outside air using energy saving EC-engines and warms it to room temperature with a counter current plate heat exchanger. Afterwards the warm fresh air flows trough textile air pipes into the room without causing any draft. Unpleasant noises are avoided by integrated silencers.
This modern technique saves energy, too: Pulpo works with a heat recovery of more then 80 percent and therefore it saves you heating costs of 30 percent. But not just in cold times this outfit is very useful for allergic persons. Due to the filtration of the outside air you can ventilate your rooms without any harm by dust and pollen.
Pulpo is available depending on the size and use of the room in three different sizes. The prices vary between 1.300 Euro for the smallest and 2.250 Euro for the biggest unit. You can order Pulpo via the Ingenieurbüro für Wärmetechnik, telefon +49 30 / 68 30 24 91.
